“Study: Americans at the Forefront of Memecoin Craze in 2023”

Memecoin research indicates that individuals from the United States exhibit the greatest interest in memecoins such as Dogecoin (DOGE), Shiba Inu (SHIB), Floki Inu (FLOKI), and Pepe Coin (PEPE). India and the United Kingdom follow as the second and third countries with the most interest, respectively.

Although it was the first memecoin, DOGE has lost its dominant position in several countries. Among the top 10 countries, only Morocco still exhibits the most interest in Elon Musk’s preferred digital asset.

Canada sees the recent sensation in the crypto sector, PEPE, as the top memecoin, accounting for nearly 27% of the local interest. PEPE was created in mid-April and its market capitalization approached $1 trillion this week.

According to a study by CoinGecko, more than 23% of global interest in memecoin comes from the United States. Among Americans, the most popular memecoin is Shiba Inu (60.7%), followed by Pepe Coin (11.8%), Bonk, and Volt Inu.

Indians are also showing a significant interest in memecoin, with 20.3% of the overall craze coming from the country. Shiba Inu is once again the most popular token, while Baby Doge Coin has taken the second spot.

The United Kingdom, the only European country on the top 10 list, ranks third with approximately 16% of the global interest in memecoin. However, CoinGecko’s study did not specify which memecoin are the most popular among Britons.

Floki Inu (FLOKI), with a 300% year-to-date increase, is also gaining interest among crypto enthusiasts. It is the most popular memecoin in the Philippines and Nigeria.
