Potential Delay for iPhone 15 and 15 Plus Due to Upgraded 48MP Camera The iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max underwent a significant camera enhancement, featuring a 48MP primary sensor.

Earlier this year, analyst Jeff Pu expressed his expectation that this upgrade would extend to the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus models.

This morning, Jeff Pu, an analyst from Haitong International Securities, released his May analyst newsletter, detailing his latest predictions regarding the iPhone 15 lineup.

As reported by 9to5Mac, Jeff Pu’s newsletter reiterates several predictions that have been circulating, including the use of titanium for the iPhone 15 Pro models, the introduction of a periscope telephoto lens in the iPhone 15 Pro Max, a shift back to solid-state buttons, and the inclusion of a 48MP camera in the lower-priced iPhone 15 models.

“Anticipating Potential Delay for iPhone 15/15 Plus”

According to Jeff Pu, recent information indicates that Apple might encounter difficulties in acquiring the

necessary camera components for the timely release of the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus models.

Jeff Pu specifically highlights the stacked CMOS Image Sensor (CIS) used for the 48MP camera in the

iPhone 15 and 15 Plus as an area he will closely monitor for potential production schedule risks.

Despite the current lack of definitive information, Jeff Pu maintains his expectation that the iPhone 15 and

15 Plus will be launched simultaneously with the 15 Pro and Pro Max in September this fall.

In his newsletter, Jeff Pu reinforces the notion that the entire iPhone 15 lineup will incorporate USB-C connectivity.

According to Jeff Pu’s predictions, he anticipates that the storage capacities for the iPhone 15

smartphones will remain unchanged, with options available at 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB.

However, only the Pro models are expected to offer the highest storage option of 1TB. “Potential Delay for iPhone 15 and 15 Plus Due to Upgraded 48MP Camera”
